一、主講人介紹：Dr. David Paez-Espino

Dr. David Paez-Espino is the Principal Data Scientist  II and the Metagenomics Lead at Mammoth Biosciences, the US. He is also the co-founder of Ancilia Biosciences. He obtained his PhD degree in Molecular Biology at Autónoma University, Madrid (Spain) in 2009 and gained a postdoctoral position at UC Berkeley. Following that, he continued his research work at the Joint Genome Institute of Department of Energy of USA as a Research Scientist. Dr Paez-Epsino has strong background in metagenomics, virus-host dynamics and bio-computational analysis. He co-designed and developed the IMG/VR v.3.0, a metagenomic-based viral database with over 2 million viral genomes. Many of his research work have been published in top international journals including Nature, Science and Cell.
